Abstract: 

The main purpose of this study is to look at how appreciation of art can help to

increase interest, of lower secondary school students, that is form 1 to form 3. towards art education. This study is to look at the factors that influence students' such as teaching aids, teaching tools and teaching and learning activities. This involve the st.vdv of teachers guide, influence ofenviroment such as family, peer groups, school environment, art room and media like computer and others. Methodology  of this research is qualitative research, which involves going to the field and la/cm notes of what is going on during research. School that involve with the research are SMK.Wira Jaya, Ipoh and SMK. Raja Chulan, Ipoh. Research is done by observation, conducting interviews and taking photos. Observation is to see how the process of teaching and learning and activities of art appreciation is done by the teacher, method of teaching, teaching tools and teacher's preparation.  School environment and the art room are also noted. Meanwhile, interviews involve 2 teachers and 4 students. The result shows that there are connections between method of teaching, teaching aids and tools, teaching and learning

activities and students' enviroment to help increase interest of students towards art

education. The Impact of the study is to suggest art teachers and school principals to use method that can increase interest of students' such as multimedia and teachers be more sensitive with students' background.
