Abstract:

The aim of this study is to investigate the meaning of visual expression of form one students. The researcher’s objective is to recognise what kind of expression is potrayed in the drawing and the factors which influence the differences. The design of the study is a controlled observation and  uses drawing activities as its instrument.    Three drawings were selected as samples and were analysed. The researcher has also conducted interviews to the students to obtain the phenomenon in its natural setting.  In this  study the researcher is more interested in finding information rather than fomulating hypothesis.  Therefore, the researcher’s focus was on the process and  not the product. The researcher’s interested to know the participants’ perspectives in its  real  setting and the meaning of the students’ drawing.
