Abstract: 

This quantitative survey is done to justify the factors that influence on the attitude

of students in the teaching and learning of visual art subject involving the Form 1 Science

1 students at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Nenasi, Pekan, Pahang in year 2006.

The student's attitude, not interested ini visual art education can be judgeed in

their art works, therefore will affect their SPM results. The focus of the survey is to

attract student interests in visual art education by teaching and learning in computer

based instruction.

Various aspects that influenced the students' attitude such as socioeconomy

background, their awareness in learning, school facilities, method of teaching and

learning and students attitude in visual art subject will be studied.

The study will be useful to upgrade the teacher's knowledge with the current

information, having the latest technique and verifications for art teacher to understand, so

to predect and control the outcome.

The researcher builds up the holistic description which involved 32 art students by

making analysis and detailed reports based on the informers' view. The survey is also

carried out in the actual phenomena.  In the survey, interview, observation, visual

recording, archieve documents and questionnaire are used to collect the information.

The descriptive analysis proved that the socioeconomy background, facilities and

students awareness are the main factors that caused the problem.
