Abstract:
The observation that there are gender differences in boys' drawings and girls' drawing has been a recurring but little developed theme in research findings. This paper focus on these finding, with a view to examining how such gender differences in children's art may come to impact on the construction of gender. Consideration will be given to the implications for teaching art to girls and boy, with a view to enhancing successful constructions of masculinity and femininity.
